Dusting off the ol' blog!

St Peter's Weekday Blog is back for Pastor Zach's class!
I have the lesson sheet posted for this week. I will continue to post our lessons online.
This blog will also be your St. Peter's Weekday homework spot. Throughout the year you can come to this site and find your homework for our next class. At times, the homework will require you to post a response on this blog site.
You can also find study guides for quizzes.
Finally, this is one more way of contacting me if you have a question about a lesson or assignment.
Your assignment due September 21 at the beginning of class is to memorize Psalm 119:73
In Christ,
PZ

Hello Everyone, I hope you will have a blessed Holy Week and Easter. We will have a test in class on April 27th. There will be 20 questions over the Lord's Prayer. Come to class prepared to answer matching, fill in the blank, and questions that require COMPLETE sentences. You will receive 5 bonus points is you study with someone from your class. The test will cover the Introduction of the Lord's Prayer and all 7 petitions. (We will have a brief lesson on the conclusion to the Lord's Prayer in class after the test.)
- Review
- Introduction:
- 1st Petition
- 2nd Petition
- 3rd Petition
- 4th Petition
- 5th Petition
- 6th Petition
- 7th Petition
In this petition we pray that God would protect us.
Be prepared to give me a couple sentences about a story IN THE BIBLE where God protected someone from danger. It can be any story where God protected someone, and it can be Old or New Testament.
What does this petition have to do with death? We pray that God would deliver us from Satan and bring us to himself when we die.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE REVIEW FOR THE TEST PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL ME. IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED WHEN YOU COME TO CLASS, OR IF YOU HAVE NOT STUDIED YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO TAKE THE TEST.
BE PREPARED!

The Lord's Prayer Due 4/6
Watch the video posted below. Review the petitions 1-5 on page 19-21 in your small catechism. Write out a prayer in your own words that reflects the meaning of petition 1-5. An example of how to do this is posted below. http:// For example: 1st Petition Heavenly Father your name is above all names. Help me to keep your name holy by what I say and by what I do. 2nd Petition Lord, thank you for sending your King, Jesus, to earth. Send me your Holy Spirit so that I can spread your Kingdom. 3rd Petition You given me your 10 commandments. Help me to folllow them, but also remind me that not even Satan himself can stop your plans to save believers. 4th Petition Heavenly Father, there are so many things that I want. Help me to be happy with what I have, and continue to give me what I need. 5th Petition Your Son came to die and rise to forgive me. Help me to forgive others.
