I have fixed our little posting issue. Everyone should be able to post a response to the following question. (If you still cannot post a comment email me at zach@stpeters-epil.com, and let me know if there is a problem. Please include your answer to the question as well.)
When God finished creation on the sixth day, he said: "It is very good." Give me 3 ways that creation is still "very good". (Example: Creation is still good, because the earth continues to rotate.) Read Revelations 21:1-8. How will the world better when Christ returns? (Give me a minnimum of 4 ways.)
Post your comments below. I might respond to your posts throughout the week!

Homework for 10/27
Question of the Week! Every now and then I will post a question on the blog that will serve as the homework for the 7th grade class. You can post your answer on the blog by posting a comment or you can write it down and bring it to class.
Here it is:
Luther's explanation to the first article of the creed lists every way that God provides for his people. Since God graciously provides for us "out of pure, fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me". What do you think Luther means when he says that God the Father gives us all that we we need without any merit or worthiness in us? Do you think God gives us food, clothing, and shelter because he is all powerful or because he is merciful?

Homework for 10/20
Here is the homework for the coming week of Weekday School:
Read the explanation of the First Articla of the creed, and tell me why you think the words in bold are so important:
I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that He has given me my body and soul, eyes and ears, and all my limbs, my reason, and all my senses, and still preserves them; in addition thereto, clothing and shoes, meat and drink, house and homestead, wife and children, fields, cattle, and all my goods; that he provides me richly and daily with all that I need to support this body and life, protects me from all danger, and guards me and preserves me from all evil; and all this out of pure, fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me; for all which I owe it to Him to thank, praise, serve, and obey Him. This is most certainly true.

Session 3
In class we are already about a full week behind!
For this week keep working on the 10 commandments. Memorize commandments 4-6 and read through the meanings. Be ready to state what the commandments mean to you in your own words. Follow up with Pastor Zach or Pastor Mews if you have any questions.
We will catch up in class this week, and we will have a full lesson online next week.
